Learning outcomes
Knowledge
lo studente che ha seguito il corso avrà acquisito solide conoscenze relativemante alla fisiopatologia dell'udito, alle caratteristiche della sordità e ai sussidi uditivi utilizzabili nei pazienti affetti da ipoacusia. Lo studenta avrà inoltre appreso i fondamenti teorici alla base delle tecniche riabilitative logopediche rivolte al trattamento dell'ipoacusia nel bambino e nell'adulto, nonchè le modalità pratiche di approccio alla patologia.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. - During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. - The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed. - In the written exam (1 hour), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply.

Syllabus
Fisiopatologia del sistema uditivo. Cause di sordità nel bambino e nell'adulto.La sordità infantile. Lo screening audiologico neonatale. Sussidi uditivi: protesi acustiche ed impianti cocleari. La procedura di impianto cocleare. Metodiche logopediche di trattamento della sordità: metodi oralisti, gestuali, misti. valutazione del paziente ipoacusico in età infantile ed adulta. Varie tecniche di riabilitazione logopedica nel bambino e nell'adulto ipoacusico.
