Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the:
1) Mechanics of wheel with tire as a vehicle component. More precisely: how to perform experimental tests, how to model a tire, how the main parameters affect the ire behavior;
2) Braking of a vehicle;
3) Handling of a vehicle, including recently discovered tools like the achievable regions;
4) Ride comfort and road holding of a vehicle.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student must show to have understood the basic principles of vehicle dynamics.Methods:
