Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of italian constituional and political system. In particular the student will be able to demonstrate good knowledge italian sources of law, italian form of govrenment and the parties involved in it, and the judicial review of the Constitutional Court .
Assessment criteria of knowledge
- The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. - During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. - The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed.

Constitutional History of Italiy (1861-1948); characteristics of the republican constitution; Nature, composition, characteristics and functions of:Parliament, Government, President of the Republic, Constitutional Court; Electoral systems; Sources of the italian law; Judicial review by the Consitituional Court.
