Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the components of a psychological test, the rules for its correct use and for the interpretation of raw scores (i.e., computation and use of the principal normative scores). He or she will have the ability to critically evaluate the manual of a psychological test and will have solid knowledge of intelligence and personality assessment.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
- The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. - The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

Syllabus
The course covers notions on definition of psychological tests, mode of administration of the tests, normative scores, and ethical rules for their use. Particular attention will be paid to themes such as the integration of psychological data for the purpose of making a psychological evaluation in clinical contexts. A part of the course will be dedicated to the assessment of intelligence and personality.
