Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the Italian constitutionalism (also with references to the European one), having regard to the fundamental principles and the organization ot the State, Regions, local governments and European Union Institutions.. He or she will be able to look critically to the implementation and the development to the contitutionalism and to the application of the constitutional rules.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

Syllabus
The course concerns the concept of constituionalism, the Italian Constitution and its historical process, the fundamental principles of the Constitution, the representative system, the organization of the State (Parliament, President, Cabinet and Administration), and also of the Regions and local government. Moreover it will give a general overlook to the European Union constitutionalism and of the Union Institutions.
