Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main issues related to the concept of measurement of human behavior and the fundamental characteristics of some of the methods of rehabilitation. He or she will acquire knowledge of principal functional impairments in the fields of neurophysiology, neuropsychology and behaviour disorders. Lastly, he or she will be aware of modern approaches to propose and carry out rehabilitation programs in the different neurodevelopmental disorders.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. In the written exam (2 hours, choice of 2 essay questions), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply. The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed.

Syllabus
The course provides notions on the main sindromes responsible for functional impairments in the fields of clinical neurophysiology , neuropsychology and behaviour. The course also approaches the main issues related to clinical and instrumental diagnosis with particular regard to physiology, pathology and biology of skeletal muscle and nervous systems, with particular emphasis on good practice of cognitive functional study and physical therapy.
