Knowledge
Students are expected to acquire knowledge useful in digital signal manipulation. They will learn ow to make spectral estimate, and how to read a spectrogram. They will also learn digital filter theory, and some simple design method and optimization.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam, the student will be asked to solve simple exercises, or to discuss topics presented during the lectures.Methods:

Properties and classification of signals
Continuos and discrete Fourier transforms and series.

Digital filters: properties and design of FIR and IIR.
Random signals, Wiener-Kintchine theorem.
Nyquist theorem.

Spectral estimates.
