Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the neurological and semiotics (functional assessment) in order to enable the development of advanced rehabilitative care skills. He or she will acquire knowledge of the organization of the neurorehabilitation service, with particular reference to rehabilitation facilities, in order to develop organizational skills, management and advanced care.He or she will acquire knowledge of the organization of the service of general medicine, with particular reference to rehabilitation facilities, in order to develop organizational skills, management, advanced care.
Lastly, he or she will acquire advanced skills of educational, assessment, preventive and therapeutic, in response to priority health problems of the population in the pediatric, adult and geriatric and problems of quality of services.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.
In the written exam (2 hours, choice of 2 essay questions), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply.
The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed.

Syllabus
The course provides notions on the main sindromes responsible for functional impairments in the fields of neuropsicology, motor control, myology, autonomic nervous system and behaviour. The course also approaches the main issues related to clinical and instrumental diagnosis with particular regard to physiology, pathology and biology of skeletal muscle and nervous systems, with particular emphasis on good practice of kinesiology, cognitive functional study and physical therapy.
