Knowledge
Students will be able to evaluate limits and continuity, and compute derivatives, to utilize calculus techniques in order to analyze the properties and sketch graphs of functions. Compute integrals. Solve differential equations. Solve linear systems. Utilize the techniques of differentiation and integration to solve practical problems and to analyze and communicate results.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
In the written exam the student must demonstrate his/her ability to solve problems on the topics of the course.
During the oral exam the student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

Syllabus
Arithmetic and basic Algebra: sets, integers, rationals and complex numbers , polynomials, functions. Linear Algebra: linear systems, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, vector spaces, linear maps. Univariate real functions: limits and continuity, derivatives, integration. Differential equations.
