Knowledge
Students are expected to:
– acquire the fundamentals of the mathematical and numerical methods for the representation of the geometry of objects with complex and general shapes;
– acquire the theoretical and practical elements required to model curves and surfaces by CAD tools.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.
In the written exam, the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organize an effective and correctly written reply.
The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice the fundamentals illustrated in the lectures and to solve the problems proposed by the instructor.
