Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to apply the theoretical principles of both team and individual sports training. The student will be able to understand the methodology for the establishment of useful appropriate training programs for the principal types of sports activities. The student will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main factors influencing the performance and the means to be used in sports training and how to apply them in an appropriate manner in order to achieve a proper adaptation and modification of performance. The student will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the main methods of evaluation and monitoring of the training status as well as prevention of injuries and overtraining.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Syllabus
The course provides knowledge and skills in planning, scheduling and managing training in various areas related to motor activity and sport. In-depth basic knowledge: motor skills, physical load, energy mechanisms, principles of training and training planning, exercises function, exercises classification, construction and management of exercises, planning of the training session, training cycles, annual and multiannual training programming. Test for exercise evaluation and monitoring.
