Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main issues related to the psychopathology of perinatal period. He or she will acquire knowledge of the most important problematic issues related to the occurrence of depression and other clinical conditions that may occur during pregnancy and postpartum .
Assessment criteria of knowledge
- The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. - The student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. - The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed.

Syllabus
The course provides notions on signs and symptoms belonging to the most important clinical conditions that may arise in pregnancy and postpartum. Moreover, issues on treatments are raised starting from an integrated perspective. The course will provide information on the most appropriate techniques and strategies for a special population of subjects.
