Knowledge
The students will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of plant physiology: cell compartimentation and membrane transport, photosynthesis, respiration, development and morphogenesis, control of flowering and plant hormones. Lastly, he or she will be aware of modern approaches for plant physiology.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability
to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material

Syllabus
The aim of the course is to supply the fondamental elements of
plant physiology. The course focuses on the physiology
of photosynthesis, respiration. The course also
approaches the main issues related to morphogenesis and
cell differentiation and particular emphasis will be
used for the mechanisms involved in the flowering.
Lastly mineral nutrition and plant hormones will be
presented and discussed.
