Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student has theoretical and methodological tools for simulation and planning of transport systems, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of projects on the network infrastructure and services. The topics of the course, from a theoretical basis, applications are developed through the analysis of relevant elements of a transport system and the relative interactions, the definition of simulation models and application to practical cases. With more detail, model of transport supply (infrastructure and services); analysis of transport demand models, and assignment models to individual transport networks (urban and suburban) and to public transport networks; performance indicators of transport networks and evaluation of economic and environmental sustainability of transport systems.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material.
