Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main determinants of the relationship between banks and businesses. In particular, he or she will be able to look critically at the traditional activity of banks (lending acitivity and assessment of the credit risk), also considering the current context of crisis.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

- the relationship between banks and businesses: characteristics and actual context
- the assessment of the credit risk by banks: rating systems (assignment and monitoring)
- credit pricing and collateral management
- organizational aspects of the credit process
