Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the first elements of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy in its relations with Ancient Philosophy; he/she will be able to apply a method of History of Philosophy and to interpret the philosophical texts.

Syllabus
The course analyses the philosophical history of the Plato's cave. Philosophy, Literature, Movies have been inspired by this image in modern and contemporary times. The production of meaning goes beyond the mith itself. The images of prisoners, chains, wall, shadow, light are part of relationship beetwin the chained prisoners and the prisoner who have leaved the cave.
