Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of more common oral pathology lesions encountered in clinical practice and he or she will be aware of modern approaches for a correct diagnosis.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
- The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

The course provides a notion of the more common oral pathology lesions: epithelial lesions (leukoplakia, lichen planus, hyperkeratosis, epithelial dysplasia, carcinoma in situ, squamous cell carcinoma, candidosis, virus infections etc), vascular lesions (hemangioma, petechiae etc) melanocytic lesions (oral melanocytic macule, nevus, melanoma.
