Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge and use of diagnostic equipment and clinical methodology applied in the field of diagnostic imaging. He will be able to independently perform the main tomographic acquisition techniques with particular emphasis on those hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT. He will also be able to make a critical analysis of the acquired images and will learn the main techniques for post-processing and quantitative/semiquantitative analysis.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed. The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

The topics of the program include: - Techniques of execution and image acquisition (acquisition and total-body planar static and dynamic). - Systems and tomographic principles of tomographic reconstruction. - SPECT/CT and PET/CT. - Data processing: computer system; presentation technique and image processing. - Application procedures for diagnosis and planning radiation therapy.
