Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course of pathology and maxillofacial surgery will be able to know anatomy of oral cavity, in particular students have to know anatomy and physiology of bone tissue. They a have to demonstrate a solid knowledge of traumatic and chemical lesions of hard tissue. Students have to know etiophysiological process and they have to know clinical sign of traumatic lesions. They have to be able to diagnose traumatic lesion of bone tissue of oral and maxillofacial complex and they have to provide an appropriate treatment plans.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During final examination students must be able to demonstrate tha knowledge of anatomy and physiology of hard tissue. They have to demonstrate to knowledge main traumatic oral pathology and their etiopathogenetic mechanism. They have to demonstrate their ability to do a clinical and radiological diagnosis. the students have to discuss with a property expression.

Syllabus
The course provides notions of maxillofacial anatomy and notions about histo-pathology of hard tissue . Diagnosis process will represent the first part of course, clinical exam and radiologic exam will be discuss. A main topic of course will be represent radiology diagnosis. Ethiopathology and clinical sign of traumatic oral cavity lesions will be discuss. In the second part of course surgical instrumentation will be presented and the surgical principals of traumatic surgery will be discussed. Traumatic surgical procedure will be presented.
