Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to treat flaccid as well as spastic paralysis, and their complications.
Furthermore the student will be able to improve results of surgical procedures performed in order to increase ROM, active and passive one, reduce deformities.
The student will be able even to correct joint behavior by using orthosis devices
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Syllabus
Topics will be Pathophysiology of paralysis including cerebral palsy in newborn, plexus paralysis, flaccid and spastic palaralysis
They also be treated topics about: why and when perform surgery, the goals of the surgical procedures and expectations.
Effective Evaluation of active movement and of the muscle strenght will be mandatory.
