The student who successfully completes the course will be aware of general theoretical problems of the economic policy with specific knowledge on monetary, fical policies as well as the effect of structural reforms. Moreover, the student will learn about the most relevant economic issues in Italy and Europe.
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

The course will describe and analyse the main instruments that public authorities can use to affect and influence the economy. These aspects will be treated both from a theretical and practical point of view.
Great emphasys will be given to the role of institutions and market imperfections, to the working of European Union and to labour policies. Finally the course will face hot topic such as sovereigh debt crisis and jobs act.
