Modulo Immunologia Clinica

Acquisizione della conoscenza

  • dei meccanismi patogenetici delle malattie autoimmuni e allergiche;
  • della diagnostica di laboratorio delle malattie autoimmuni;
  • del quadro clinico e della diagnostica delle malattie allergiche;
  • del quadro clinico e della diagnosi di laboratorio delle sindromi da immunodeficienza.
Knowledge

The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to recognize autoimmune, allergic, orthopedic and joint inflammatory diseases. He/she will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of pathogenetic mechanisms of autoimmune and allergic disorders, laboratory diagnosis of autoimmune diseases, clinicl aspects and elements for the diagnosis of allergic diseases and immunodeficiency; pediatric deformities and basics about their treatment. He/she will be aware and be able to perform first aid in trauma patient. Furthermore the student will be able to make casts, remove them, and treat a compartment syndrome.

Assessment criteria of knowledge

The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to relate illness and treatment options and to evaluate possiible complication of the therapy and of the disease.

Further information:
The student will have oral examination (70%-100%), the written examination eventually will be 30% of the final score

CONTENUTI SPECIFICI del Modulo di Immunologia Clinica

  • Basi patogenetiche delle malattie autoimmuni
  • Anticorpi anti-nucleo e anti-antigeni nucleari estraibili; ANCA
  • Fattore reumatoide, ACPA, anti-fosfolipidi
  • I reattanti di fase acuta e il dosaggio del complemento. Basi patogenetiche delle malattie allergiche
  • Diagnostica allergologica; febbre reumatica; cenni sulle malattie da immunodeficienza
  • Orticaria e angioedema; anafilassi; reazioni al veleno di imenotteri; allergia alimentare
Syllabus

The course provides notions and basic principles concerning autoimmune diseases, allergic diseases and immunodeficiency, inflammatory disease (like Reumathic Arthritis, etc), their incidence pathophysiology and clinical evalation.

Also the student will be encourage in learning pediatric orthopedics and adult ones, focusing the attention on surgical and orthotic treatment. Basics on trauma management, damage control and prevention of DVT and infected complcations

Sono organizzati per piccoli gruppi di studenti e si svolgono presso l' Unità Operativa di Immuno-Allergologia Clinica (corsia degenza, ambulatori di Immunologia clinica ed allergologia, laboratori di Immunologia clinica).
