Knowledge
Students who successfully complete the course will have the ability to apply the tools of microeconomic theory to the analysis of information markets. They will be able to use such tools to solve various decision-making problems at firm level concerning the strategies of companies operating in information industries such as broadcasting, publishing, web marketing, etc.

Syllabus
The course will deal with information goods and their specific characteristics, which determine markets with original characteristics. The peculiarities of information markets will be analysed, focusing on network effects and network industries. The economic analysis of intellectual property rights and of market regulation wil complete the course.
