Assessment criteria of knowledge
In the written exam (assigned time 3 hours) the student will be required to solve two or three exercises about subjects discussed during the course. The written exam will be passed if the student will obtain a degree of at least 15 (equivalent to a C-). If the written exam is passed, the student will be admitted to the oral exam, based on theoretical questions and simple exercises on the same subjects. The student will be assessed on his/her knowledge of the course material and on his/her ability in using an appropriate terminology and in solving problems related to the course subjects.

Further information:
The exam is composed by a written test and an oral discussion; the student will be admitted to the oral exam if he will pass the written test, according to the criteria listed below. After passing the written exam, the student can face the oral one immediately or he can delay it after the next or the next two written exams. The final evaluation will be based on both the written and the oral exam, without preset weighting.
