Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to know the the relationship between work and health and safety, particularly in the healthcare environment; will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge about the risks at work and will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the occupational diseases and preventive and protective measures.

In the written exam (1 hour, response to 30 questions), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply.

The relationship between health and work and the rules for the protection of health in the workplace. The subjects of prevention and health protection in the workplace. The occupational physician and medical surveillance. Danger, risk, risk assessment and the risk factors for health and safety at the workplace. The main risk factors in healthcare settings: the biological risk, the manual handling of heavy loads and patients, the risk of work-related stress.
