Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the couse will be able to demonstrate a global understanding of the rules governing international relations and will have the skill to analyze the events taking place in the international community with particular reference to the formation of international law sources, the relationship of national legal orders with international law, the treatment of aliens and the transnational movement of persons.

The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

Syllabus
Topics discussed are as follows: the International Community and its sources of law; the subjects of international law; the incorporation of international law into the domestic legal systems; mechanism of dispute resolution. International subjects; dispute settlement; the treatment of aliens as regulated by international law and the transnational movement of persons under international law.
