Educational Goals: Knowing the context of development of Italian literature; the student will be able to recognize the characteristics of a literary Italian text by placing it in the relevant historical context and to interpret and comment the text using appropriate formal tools.

Programma (contenuti dell'insegnamento)

Dante, Cino da Pistoia, Petrarca e la lirica d’amore medievale.
Syllabus
During the lectures will examine the formation, structure and history of publishing "Rime nuove" by Carducci, analyzing the historical context and the characteristics of thematic, stylistic and metrics of a series of exemplary texts. The work will be inserted in the path of poetic Carducci and placed in relation to his work as a critic.
