Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of mechanism and principal desease of vestibular and audiology system . He will be able to have a solid knowledge of physiolgy and disorders of swallowing . He will be able to recognize the most important deseases of vestibular system.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
In the written exam (2 hours,30 items), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply.

Syllabus
Anatomy and physiology of audiology and vestibular system and swallowing system. Knowledge of the most useful instrumental investigations for diagnosis of audiology and vestibology disorders and of dysphagia. Clinical evaluation ( tests for auditory function, auditory evoked potentials) Vestibular system (electronystagmography and rotational testing, posturography vestibular evoked potentials). Dysphagia( videofluoroscopy, FEES, oro-pharyngo- esophageal scintigraphy). The most important deseases of these three systems. The principal rehabilitation tecniques for treatment of related pathologies.
