Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Students who successfully complete the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the rules that govern new technologies, with particular focus on the principles and rules concerning Internet and social networks. He or she will be able to identify the legal problems arising from new technologies and to look critically at the free use of Internet. Students will be given notions to analyze practical case studies.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Syllabus
New Technologies and Internet law is a branch of law of significant complexity, which is gradually becoming more and more important. The course provides notions on the following topics: Internet government, electronic documents and signatures, e-commerce and consumer law, data protection, copyright and IP rights, e-money, domain name, Internet service provider's liability, cloud computing, commercial advertising and spamming. During the course will be held seminars by experts with the partecipation of the students.
