Learning outcomes
Knowledge
This course is devoted to the study of calculus (continuity, derivation and integration, sequences and series) from the point of view of its applications, but with full mathematical rigour. Particular emphasis is given to important examples.

Syllabus
Real and complex numbers. Numeric successions and series. The limit concept: successions and functions. Infinites and infinitesimals. The exponentioal function and other elementary functions. Continuous functions: most relevant properties. Differentiable functions: most relevant properties. Applications of the differential calculus. Numerical series. Integrals: most relevant properties. Applications of the integral calculus.
