Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to:detect anthropometric data: age, weight, height; calculate and evaluate the Body Mass Index (BMI); estimate Basal Metabolic rate and the total energy expenditure; assess dietary habits with 24h-recall, frequency questionnaire, dietary history, food diary; plan tailored diet; administer customized dietary patterns, to assess patient compliance by achieving milestones achieved; implement the intervention of nutritional education in healthy subjects; detect the dietary history of patient with eatings disorders; make a dietetic/nutrition related diagnosis.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to make a dietetic/nutrition related diagnosis and treat and counsel a client/patient

Syllabus
The internship aims to provide knowledge of survey instruments and food processing diets for healthy individuals or for institutions. Particular attention will be paid to diabetes, kidney diseases , gastrointestinal disorders/diseases, obesity, artificial nutrition, nutritional problems after surgery, eatings disorders, nutritional problems in neurological patients (dysphafia).
