Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge in Biochemistry starting from basic principles of general biochemistry to main metabolic pathways. The student will be able to correlate the knowledge of general features of proteins and enzymes with their cellular/organ function and regulation. The student will perform simple experimental measurements in a biochemistry laboratory and will be able to discuss and make calculations on the acquired data.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
- During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss different subjects using the appropriate terminology.
- The student must demonstrate the ability to analyze, with critical awareness, the practical activity performed in the Laboratory.
Methods:
- Final oral exam
- Laboratory report
Teaching methods
Delivery: face to face
