Knowledge
The course objective is to provide the student with a broad overview of the communication network architectures and protocols and the physical layer technologies for transmitting data. The course is divided in three modules. The first module on network optimization introduces instruments for communication network modelling and optimization. The second module covers network management systems and services. The third module covers advanced topics for optical networks.
