Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the skills necessary to be able to manage the disease in order to make it compatible with the development of required performances for a disable person and athlete. He or she will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge on how to design and conduct training under varying conditions of disability for the purposes of sport. He or she will have the ability to collaborate with the team work of the healthcare and social system using the movement as a tool for intervention.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed

Syllabus
The course provides knowledge and skills in planning, scheduling and managing training in various areas related to adapted motor activity, provide skills to create a work plan and encouraging the design of "individualized" activities. The course focuses also on how to optimize the ability of the subject to increase personal autonomy required for the integration and participation in social life through an improvement of motor, psychological, social, and affective performances. The course provides notions on how to train and motivate an individual as a function of age, psycho-social and individual motivations. The course provides notions on how to measure and evaluate the impact of exercise and optimize it to the person welfare needs.
