Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of basic concepts of diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy techniques; will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the basic concepts of radiobiology and radiation protection; will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of radiobiology and radiation protection techniques.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.

Syllabus
The first part of the course is devoted to basic concepts of diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy techniques and to basic concepts of radiobiology and radiation protection. The swecond part of the course id devoted to radiobiology and radiation protection techniques.
