Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The course covers the study of Quality Management Systems according to the international, European and Italian bodies of standardization, organization for accreditation and certification. In particular, the path is explored for implementation in the company of a quality management system and the process of audit. The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to develope, implement and improve a Quality Management System, its processes and procedures and to make the quality management system able to achieve the objectives.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed. With the oral presentation, to be made to the teacher and the other students, the student must demonstrate the ability to approach a circumscribed research problem, and organise an effective exposition of the results.

Syllabus
The first part of the course will be dedicated to the principles stated in ISO 9001 standard,and to the international, european and nazional bodies of standardization, certification and accreditation. In the second part the course will focus on the adoption of a quality management system by an organization according to the ISO 9001:2008 requirements. Particular attention will be paid to the management responsibility, to the resource management, to the product realization and to themeasurement, analysis and improvemnt. The last part of the course will focus on the way to conduct the internal audits to determine whether the quality management system is conform to the requirement of the internazional standard according to the ISO 19011:2012.
