Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of crime's elements and fundamental categories, in connection with the constitutional principles. He or she will be able to analysis the rules and the basic principles of criminal law, and will have demonstrated the ability to define the crime's general theory, with particular reference to the concept of guilty. Lastly, he or she will be aware of modern approaches for a european model of criminal law.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

Syllabus
The course covers the legality principles, the aims of the criminal sanctions, the legality principle, the elements of crimes. Particular attention will be paid to themes such as omission, guilty, intent, negligence. The categories and concepts are examined in strict connection with the italian Constitution principles A part of the course will be dedicated to the corporate responsibility, in the mirror of common law experience
