Knowledge
The first module focuses its attention on the fundamentals of business economics, the business phenomenon, and the relationships that are established between the company and the environmental system to which it belongs. The first module aims to provide students with a broad basic knowledge on the logics, principles, dynamics, and the tools of the science of business economics with reference to the instruments of general accounting, budget system, cost accounting, to the logic of monitoring and budgeting, planning and quality control and corporate strategies with regard to some case studies.
The second module aims to provide analytical instruments to help understand the nature and structure of companies in the tourist industry , in light of the unique and ever-changing characteristics of demand. There will be a greater focus on the study of the accomodation industry and, in particular, the process of production and supply of hotel services.

Syllabus
The course focuses on the fundamentals of science, business management, with particular attention to the phenomenon of tourism. The tourist company is observed in its structural dynamic and relational profiles as well as in financial and economic trends in order to grasp the ultimate conditions of operation. The objective is to develop an adequate capacity for analysis of the business phenomenon in their own perspective of the matter. In particular, an object of the course is the company system, the study of which is conducted in objectively (analysis of current economic, financial and monetary trends) and subjectively (analysis of management activities carried out by managers).
