Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to design road intersections and tunnels. The student will be able to demonstrate also advanced knowledge of road construction equipements and road yards organization. The student will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge regarding road safety problems.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed.

Syllabus
The main purpose of the course is to supply the necessary standards and technical instruments for the planning and the construction of roads, railroads and airports, with regard to functionality, safety and environmental aspects.

Work placement
The project work is related to developpe and solve three different road intersections appling the Italian road guidelines and standards.
