Knowledge
Students who successfully complete the course will acquire the necessary skills to understand and deal with impairments of vision in patients with psychiatric problems. The students first will have to obtain a sound knowledge of the physiology and pathology of the eye and then familiarise with diagnostic techniques in order to gain the ability to discern actual defects as opposed to visual misperceptions derived from psychiatric problems and make an informed diagnosis.
