Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main features of the dramatization of narrative texts. He or she will be able to carry out written and practical exercises that will be discussed and evaluated during the lessons.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

Syllabus
With particular reference to transcoding, adaptation and free adaptation of narrative texts, the course will examine the basic elements of dramatic writing. These are the topics covered: mimesis and diegesis; setting; deixis; dialogues; rules for the transfer of information from the scene to the audience; construction of characters.
