Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate fundamental notions of biomechanics applied to the locomotor system and motor control. Moreover the student will be able to describe and predict the physiological changes occurring when the organisms is exposed to extreme environments such as microgravity, high altitude, diving, etc.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
In the written exam (3 hours, choice of 2 open problems in bio-mechanics + multiple choice test in applied physiology), the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organize an effective and correctly written reply.

Methods:

  • Final oral exam
  • Final written exam

Further information:
Final written exam mandatory. Oral exam is an option for students who prefer the oral evaluation method or students who are not satisfied with the outcome of their written test.

Teaching methods

Delivery: face to face

Learning activities:

  • attending lectures

Attendance: Mandatory

Teaching methods:

  • Lectures
  • Seminar

Syllabus
Cybernetic and ecological theories of movement. Biomechanics of the locomotor system. Motor control. Extreme environments physiology.
