The course covers the study of law in a cultural landscape not limited to one country and therefore aims to accustom the use of comparison between different legal orders. The course will then addressed the general problems of the "macro-comparison" and then examine, in a comparative perspective, the forms of legal organization and sources of law. A comparison between deductive and inductive method will be accomplished through detailed examination of a number of key decisions made ??by the constitutional courts and supreme courts of the most important contemporary legal systems. The course is divided into two parts, one, the larger, dedicated to the study of the Western legal tradition (civil and common law) and the other directed to provide the essential features of the core experiences related to other traditions.
