Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1st year internship takes place in University Hospital of Pisa in psychiatric ward, day hospital, ambulatory. Under tutor supervision, the student becomes familiar with the psychiatric patient in his/her patological issues such as behaviour, emotional status and residual abilities. The 1st year internship has an observational perspective.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the tutor during the internship.

Syllabus
The course provides basical notions on the psychiatric patologies. The student becomes familiar with the patient with psicotic disease such as depression, bipolar disease, schizophrenia, borderline, anorexia.
