Knowledge
The aim of the course is to provide the basic information to geotechnical design. The designer needs to manage these basic information in order to correctly state the design, since the geotechnical works have a wide influence on budget.
The student will have the ability to plan a site investigation and syntetize these information in a geotechnical model of subsoil. Other competences will regard in general the geotechnical structures such as foundations, earth retaining structures and embankments.
