Knowledge

The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to identify specimens of the human tissues. He will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the most relevant histological techniques beginning from the sample withdrawal, to fixation treatment, ending with sectioning and staining. Beside this the student will be aware of the modern immunohistochemical pocedures employed for molecules detection inside the cells and tissues of the human body.

Assessment criteria of knowledge

- In the written exam the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organise an effective and correctly written reply. The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.
