Lo studente potrà acquisire solide conoscenze sulle fonti e metodologie utilizzate per l'archeologia dei paesaggi. Acquisirà la capacità di identificare i diversi paesaggi urbani e territoriali che si sono stratificati nelle città e campagne oggetto di analisi durante il corso
. The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the sources and methodologies currently used in landscape archaeology. The student will acquire the ability to identify the surviving elements of ancient allotments and he or she will be able to define the landscape changes in a diachronic approach.
Continuous interaction with the students during the lessons and the surveys will ascertain their state of knowledge

The students will be able to identify and document the different elements of the Landscapes. They will gain experience in processing data in the GIS System

Durante le ricognizioni archeologico-topografiche saranno valutati il grado di accuratezza e precisione delle attività svolte
During the surveys, the students’ precision in carrying out their tasks will be assessed.

Archeologia dei paesaggi : dalla lettura dei paesaggi all'interpretazione storica. Metodologie, strategie e strumenti per la lettura dei paesaggi. Interazione fra uomo e ambiente. I paesaggi romani: centuriazione, regime delle acque, viabilità, popolamento rurale, attività economiche. Verranno effettuate ricognizioni topografico-archeologiche nel territorio pisano per la lettura dei paesaggi, con particolare attenzione all’età antica. I dati verranno elaborati in piattaforme GIS
Landscape Archaeology from an analysis of the landscape to its historical interpretation. The methodologies, strategies and tools to identify the ancient landscapes.Roman landscapes : centuriatio, road and river system, rural settlement patterns and economic activities. Surveys will be carried out in the Pisan territory to identify landscapes, in particular the ancient ones. The data will be processed in appropriate data-bases linked with GIS programmes
