Lettura critica dei testi in programma e capacità di sviluppare riflessioni autonome sui nodi teoretici affrontati
The aim is to provide students with a good knowledge of one of the key concept of phenomenological and hermeneutic tradition, namely "life-world".
Il corso avrà carattere seminariale, perciò la verifica delle conoscenze non avverrà soltanto in occasione dell’esame orale finale, ma anche durante il corso con costanti discussioni in cui ogni partecipante sarà chiamato a dare il proprio contributo; inoltre, lo studente potrà scegliere di tenere una presentazione orale durante il corso e/o di scrivere una relazione alla fine, diminuendo così il numero di testi, fra quelli a scelta, da portare all’esame. Le modalità di svolgimento del seminario dipenderanno in gran parte dal numero dei partecipanti e verranno discusse in occasione del primo incontro del 28 febbraio.

Programma del seminario
Il concetto husserliano di “mondo della vita (Lebenswelt)”: interlocutori, interpreti e critici
Per usare una famosa distinzione introdotta da Eugen Fink si potrebbe affermare che il concetto di Lebenswelt assuma nella filosofia di Husserl sia una funzione tematica che operativa. A partire dalla fenomenologia genetica degli anni ’20 e ancora di più con lo sviluppo della particolare prospettiva storico-teleologica di Crisi delle scienze europee, il mondo della vita è sia un tema su cui Husserl si sofferma più volte sia un concetto di cui Husserl si serve per gettare luce su nodi teoretici fondamentali della sua prospettiva filosofica (la distinzione tra atteggiamenti, il concetto di orizzonte, il rapporto tra senso comune, scienze e filosofia, le sintesi inconsce della soggettività trascendentale, il concetto di vita trascendentale e costituente).
Il seminario sarà diviso in due parti. Nella prima, attraverso lezioni frontali supportate da discussioni aperte in cui ciascun partecipante sarà chiamato a esprimersi, si esaminerà la genesi del concetto di mondo della vita nelle riflessioni sviluppate da Husserl tra il 1910 e gli anni ‘30. Si valuterà anche il ruolo della lettura di Essere e Tempo di Heidegger nella trasformazione husserliana del concetto di mondo della vita da sfera dell’esperienza ante-predicativa a dimensione storico-culturale. Nella seconda parte del seminario, attraverso presentazioni orali dei partecipanti, si discuteranno alcune interpretazioni fondamentali (Fink, Merleau-Ponty, Schutz/Luckmann, Habermas) e alcune critiche decisive (Blumenberg, Rosen, Sellars) al concetto di mondo della vita e ai suoi possibili usi nella riflessione teoretico-filosofica.
Husserl's notion of the "life-world" and his interpreters
In his lectures on the fundamental problems of phenomenology (1910-11), Husserl introduces the notion of the natural concept of the world, in order to account for our ordinary way of conceiving the world in which we dwell. With the genetical development of his philosophical perspective, Husserl delves deeper into this notion by speaking of "life-world". In the class, we will analyze the development of this notion and we will explore the many correlated notions and issues that it entails such as the notions of a natural attitude, that of the horizon, as well as the problem of the relationship between common sense, sciences and philosophy, the way of conceiving transcendental subjectivity and the unconscious dimension of life.
The course will be divided into two parts. In the first one, the instructor will analyze some crucial Husserl's writings and a passage from Heidegger's Being and Time. In the second part, by means of individual presentations given by the students, some important interpretations of the notion of the life-world will be explored and critically assessed.

The course will be on February 28, 2019, and will be placed on Thursday, 2-4 pm (classroom PAO-D1), and Friday, 2-4 pm (classroom PAO-E1).
Active participation and individual presentation (or the essay) will contribute to the final grade.
The essays should be sent by email to the instructors by the following deadlines:
