Conoscenze

Il corso si articola in due parti. Nella prima parte verranno analizzate le opere di Büchner in programma e ne verrà fornita la contestualizzazione  storico-letteraria. Nella seconda parte si analizzeranno testi del tardo Novecento che variamente si ispirano a Büchner o che ne riprendono i temi o le strutture. 

Knowledge

The course is divided into two parts. In the first part it will be analized the works of Georg Büchner in their historic-literary context. In the second part he course will analize texts of the late Twentieth Century that are inspired by Büchner’s works.

La verifica delle conoscenze avverrà attraverso prove in itinere ed esame orale finale.

The verification of knowledge will take place through in itinere  tests and a final oral exam

La/lo studente sarà in grado di analizzare e commentare i testi narrativi e teatrali oggetto del corso. Sarà inoltre in grado di orientarsi nel testo in lingua originale, sotto la guida della docente. Sarà inoltre in grado di collocare le opere studiate nel contesto storico-culturale dell’epoca

The student will be able to analyze and comment on the narrative and thatrical texts covered by the course. S/he will also be able to orient him/herself in the text in original language, under the guidance of the Professor. S/he will also be able to place the works studied in its historical and cultural context

La/lo studente deve essere in grado di analizzare in autonomia testi letterari dell’epoca letteraria su cui il corso si incentra. Deve anche dimostrare di sapersi orientare nella letteratura critica.

Indicazioni metodologiche

Lezioni frontali con discussione finale. Dal momento che la lezione verte principalmente sui testi, se ne richiede la lettura preliminare. E’ previsto l’impiego di materiale didattico, che verrà fornito dalla docente tramite la   piattaforma moodle. Sono previste prove intermedie.Le lezioni saranno tenue in lingua tedesca.

Teaching methods

Lectures with final discussion. Since the course focuses mainly on texts, a preliminary reading is required.The use of teaching material is also envisaged, and will be provided by the professor. Further materials will be published on the web. Intermediate tests will be scheduled.

Lesson will take place  in german language.

Programma (contenuti dell'insegnamento)

Georg Büchner e la letteratura contemporanea.

 

Le opere di Georg Büchner (1813-1837), profondamente innovative nel contesto della loro epoca,  sono state recepite appieno solo alla fine del XIX secolo e a partire da allora sono diventate parte integrante della letteratura tedesca moderna, dando luogo a un ampio ventaglio di riscritture e di rielaborazioni non solo in ambito letterario ma anche, tra gli altri,  in ambito musicale e filmico.

Il corso prenderà le mosse dalla  lettura di tre opere büchneriane e proseguirà con l’analisi di alcune riprese novecentesche, concentrandosi soprattutto su Woyzeck.

Syllabus

Georg Büchner and contemporary literature

Georg Büchner’s works, that were tiefly innovative in the context of their epoch, were fully received only from the end of the Nineteenth Century and became integral part of the modern german literature, with numerous adaptions and rewriting.

Modalità d'esame

Prove in itinere ed esame orale a conclusione del corso. L’esame orale consisterà in un colloquio mirato ad accertare le capacità di lettura e di analisi critica dei testi letterari trattati  e le conoscenze di storia letteraria del periodo oggetto di studio.

Assessment methods

In itinere tests and oral exam at the end of the course.  The oral examination will consist of an interview aimed at assessing the reading and critical analysis skills of the literary texts tackled and the knowledge of literary history of the period under study.
