Bibliografia e materiale didattico

  1. Mirko Tavosanis e Marco Gasperetti, Comunicare, Milano, Apogeo, 2004.
  2. Luisa Carrada, Lavoro, dunque scrivo!, Bologna, Zanichelli, 2012.
  3. Daniele Fortis, Scrivere per il web, Santarcangelo di Romagna, Apogeo e Maggioli, 2013.
  4. Roberto Lesina, Nuovo manuale di stile, Bologna, Zanichelli, 1994.
  5. Edward R. Tufte, The cognitive style of PowerPoint, seconda edizione, Cheshire, Graphic Press, 2006.

Bibliography

No mandatory readings are assigned to attending students. For those students, the following bibliography is an optional reading list for further study.

  1. Mirko Tavosanis e Marco Gasperetti, Comunicare, Milano, Apogeo, 2004.
  2. Luisa Carrada, Lavoro, dunque scrivo!, Bologna, Zanichelli, 2012.
  3. Daniele Fortis, Scrivere per il web, Santarcangelo di Romagna, Apogeo e Maggioli, 2013.
  4. Roberto Lesina, Nuovo manuale di stile, Bologna, Zanichelli, 1994.
  5. Edward R. Tufte, The cognitive style of PowerPoint, second edition, Cheshire, Graphic Press, 2006.

Non-attending students must study the books 3 and 5 and discuss them during the oral examination (see Assessment methods).

Non-attending students info

The course will require exercises, both in class and outside class, in preparation for the final exam. Students who will satisfactorily deliver at least 80% of the exercises assigned during the course will be considered attending students.

Non-attending students can still take the exam by adding to the program for attending students:

  1. The study of the two compulsory texts for non-attending students indicated in the Bibliography section
  2. The writing of a 5-pages review of an essay in volume that will be chosen with the teacher (the review will have to follow some constraints, which will be indicated at the time of the choosing, on the target audience and on the overall setup of the text).

Non-attending students must also discuss during the oral exam both the two compulsory texts (point 1) and the review (point 2).

Moreover, even non-attending students must write the Wikipedia entries requested to the attending students.

Assessment methods

For the final exam, students are asked to write one or more entries on Wikipedia in Italian (http://it.wikipedia.org). Students are therefore invited to register a user account on Wikipedia at the beginning of the course.

The exam consists in the discussion of one or more Wikipedia entries (indicative length: 5 pages in the PDF version of the entries) created by the candidate on a topic by her or his choice. The discussion must be accompanied by a presentation of 5 minutes with the support of 5 slides on a video projector.

Depending on the development of the course, it may be possible to replace the creation of a Wikipedia entry with the creation of other web texts (blogs, conventional sites and so on).
